Sheep Sandals
Sheep Sandals
Sheep Sandals takes the sandal, a simple and open form, and lets shearling turn it into a cocoon. Its name is a wink to the material itself, a nod to the soft, woolly body that gives the design its character, where a clean silhouette and a plush surface seem to belong together rather than compete.
The footbed and edge are lined in dense, curly merino shearling, a natural fiber that keeps the foot warm while remaining wonderfully soft to the touch. Across the instep, a wide band of smooth leather in an off-white cream tone wraps the foot with a sculpted, minimal line, a quiet contrast between the sleek surface of the leather and the plush texture of the wool. As with any natural fiber, a few light white fibers on the surface are part of its character, not a flaw.
The sole is a carved rubber outsole in deep black, chosen for grip and stability: part of Saint Moritz, a line of refined footwear designed for an increasingly demanding market, where the quality of the sole matters as much as the upper. The dark tread grounds the pale upper and gives the design a bold, graphic finish.
Light in feel and generous in comfort, Sheep Sandals carry their presence through materials and craftsmanship rather than ornament: proof that softness and structure can coexist in a single object, made to last.
MATERIALS
Upper: smooth leather band, off-white
Lining and edge: merino shearling
Sole: rubber with carved tread
SPECIAL FEATURES
Open-heel slide design
Natural merino shearling footbed
Carved rubber outsole for grip and stability
Color: Off-White
I changed the name reference, since "Saint Moritz" is now the line rather than the product name. If you tell me the country of manufacture and whether the leather is vegetable-tanned, I can add "handcrafted in Italy" or similar to the closing paragraph, as in the Armor Backpack text.
