The Planetary Ring Clutch was born from an intuition sparked by a forgotten 80s portable turntable spotted at a flea market: that compact shape, the quietly spinning disc, that sense of an object both technical and elegant. From there came the idea of a bag with the same spirit essential, circular, almost mechanical in its precision.
Made as a test sample during the development of the line, this clutch still carries the marks of that experimental moment: the choice of a flat silver chain that allows it to be worn over the shoulder, the satin-finished aluminum base designed to give structure and support to the soft body of the bag, the zippered interior with side pockets made for a phone details created to be tested and evaluated, and here they remain frozen in their original form, before any changes made for mass production.
The outer body is crafted in reverse leather, worn with the grain facing inward so the suede-like flesh side is left exposed. Rough and textured to the touch, with a distinctive, tactile surface, it gives the bag a raw, matter-of-fact character a material that speaks of process rather than polish, fitting perfectly with the spirit of an unrepeatable sample piece.
