Cellula 178 Backpack
Cellula is born from reclamation. Each piece is made by assembling offcuts and production waste from Cecchi De Rossi handbags remnants from a past season that would otherwise have ended their life cycle in the scrap heap, and here find a second one instead.
The individual fragments are joined by hand into a weave that echoes the structure of a cell: pieces varying in shape and origin, bound together until they form a single coherent fabric. The surface is then hand-treated with natural rubber (caoutchouc), which shapes the piece's raw, material aesthetic while also increasing its resistance to wear and water.
Cellula 178 belongs to the Imperfetti line: one-of-a-kind pieces born from prototypes no longer in production, where imperfection in the texture, in the pairing of materials, in the small irregularities of the weave is not a flaw to be corrected but the defining mark of the piece. No two pieces are alike.
